Re: Custom Sliders in Sydney?

its not much really, but is getting repaired next week. Only $2k worth of damage. Obviously only paying the excess... This is just before it happened. The earth wall damaged the drivers side doors and where the front right tyre is in this photo is where the sill was bent. http://img.photobucket.com ...

Re: Custom Sliders in Sydney?

sill not as munted as you are probably all guessing (might post a pic tomorrow). I did need a sledge hammer to allow the door to open and close freely again though. Have meeting with assessor tomorrow. hopefully I get the ok for repairs. Cant wait to get some sort of slider made up. I am chatting ...

Re: Custom Sliders in Sydney?

Thanks for the replies fellas. Those sliders to suit an NJ look good, however there is a big risk angles/anchor points/protrusions etc are off for my model and I risk needing to substantially mod it. Macquarie 4x4 charge an arm and a leg! over a grand! Glad I dont have a late model fourbie but still ...

Custom Sliders in Sydney?

Hi all, I am struggling to find any posts relating to this topic! I did a bit of damage to my Paj last weekend and am getting it fixed through insurance (meeting with assessor next week). However there is no point getting the sills and lower doors repaired if I dont get a set of sliders made ...

Assuming the 2 inch lift you already have excludes the body lift (doesnt look like the body has been lifted) it would balance out the 33s you have. I reckon 33s on paj without a body lift looks a bit squat. Personally, with $6k I would put in a set of lockers, buy a decent bullbar with winch ...

Hey mate, the ad in the 4wd Mag I have is for ORI (offroadindustries.com). I would assume they deal with SAS because there is a NH SWB pajero with one on the ad. If not, im sure they would know where to go. Attached are a couple of pics from Thailand. I thought I had more but the others I has were ...

There are a few that have done it mate. See Bitsamissin's posts, there is also another thread somewhere on here that explains the process. In the members rigs section there is a thread from a guy from Thailand (first few pages) with links to one of his trips. You should see the number of our model ...

At least you were unharmed. Might consider getting a cargo barrier...

I agree with Scott, this could be one hell of a speedy rebuild. I also very happy you have chosen to stick with the pajero.

Pics of the newby please.

To guage if the miles are original, check the wear on the outside of the drivers seat and wear on the brake/accelerator/clutch pedals. Also see how tight/noise free it is on the road. If the car is quiet, tight, with minimal wear on the seat and pedals, I would assume its original miles. Looks like ...

Remember when just looking at a pic, a vehicle with a 2 inch body lift will LOOK like it has more travel due to the larger gap between wheel & arch. yeah I realise that my my paj has nowhere near that amount of compression as seems to be the case in the pic showing the rear guard FULL of wheel ...

looks good mate. Id love a body lift but i dont think there is much point as i doubt ill be going up from 31s. It would make the 31s look better in the guards though... :?

The only think that is putting me off is the fact you have to modify the gear lever and brackets for front and rear bars.

Dont know if you will ever be satisifed coming from a rangie or GQ. My pajjy is pretty stiff off road with OME coils and shocks and standard torsion bars. Dont think there is a way around it (apart from unlocking my suspension seats!! )
