Re: Crank sensor failure after timing belt change
Shit happens. Time for a change, disturbing it probably caused it to fail but it would have failed anyway. Probably on a track. 100ks from nearest town. On a stinking hot day. When you need to get back to work. Missus in the car blaming you for not maintaining it / spending too much money on it ...

I think you have some competiton Bru. Saw a single cab iveco in beige, big Hancook mudders, triple battery bank, looled like optimas. Pre wired at the back for heaps of fittings. Rear winch. Sahara bar copy ( looked really good ) looking like it was off to get a body. Had a little sticker on guard ...

My point was that the pros are also the cons. It is subject to personal differences.
Pro: Has solid front axle, great for hardcore off road
con: has solid front axle, crap for on road handling and ride.
Pro: big comfy wagon
Con: giant whale that is difficult to park/navigate through tight tracks ...

I'm on my 2nd 1FZ auto. Fuel is 16.8 around town auto driving normally.
Towing or soft sand it escalates quickly though.
You can make them better with a good computer and an exhaust. They are very rich and tuned to last 1mil ks from Toyota. Valve stem seals can be a problem. Solid Axle front too ...

So is the factory turbo engine in the GU stronger?
How do you tell if it's genuine factory turbo motor? Have they got different rover covers?
Also what sort of fuel economy do you get empty around town in a stocker?

I've have friends with utes that have done a radiator the air bleed point cracked and leaked from the top tank, another mate in a Ute did a water pump as it was leaking from the telltail. Rear brake pad wear is excessive at times when the vehicle is used as a 4wd and the handbrake is sh!t.

Conversion time, all the R motors are horrible fuel sucking, gutless POS.
3ltr V6 petrol yota and box should do the trick.

I wanted graphite as I think it will look great with the green in my logo, and want to run silver as standard issue - generally as it hides the dirt so well.
I have been advised time and again by Iveco not to get colours - as everyone orders white, so it will be a try and see thing.

Not sure if it's yours 4WD26 but that front bar looks wrong.
In my unqualified opinion the tube needs to be an inch thicker and the design could be a bit nicer on the eye too.
Bru will you try any colours ie silver? White is great for scratches and I know you'll probably give yours a good time ...
