Challenger Manual Conversion

Hi Guys I need some help. I have a 2003 MY04 LS Challenger and the auto called it quits again. Short story I think the last rebuild was dodgy and just don't want to go down that route again. So question is how hard would a conversion be? I can swing spanners easy and can get some mates to help. I ...

Once there stuffed the stuffed. You could run a thinner oil when you fix it. My last car was know for being bad with lifters with subaru rebuilding some engines. I was running a thin oil 5w30 from memory and it seemed to help but it came back eventually. I never fixed them though, It was an engine ...

Challenger Front Sway Bar Bush WOW

This may help Pajero and Triton owners as well. Well you know how it goes the Challenger steering wheel knock. I also had some noises coming from the front end and thought to myself this is going to cost and its only done 120,000, why does thi crap always happen to me. So I thought I would start ...

Thats cheap. Yours is the second one I have found that has gone booom. Don't strees. To much. If yours is the same as a Challenger then there the same as the Pajero 5 speed minus one and my gear box builder said he is yet to see one, and there 9 years old now. Mine went back for its first service ...

I have the same issues with my challenger. Don't know if there the same box or not. I get the 2-3 flair then the 3-4 flair. Then one day no 4th gear. Rebuild time. Then I get the flairs back. Gearbox place wants nothing to do with it. Mines goining in for its 20,000k service in a couple of weeks and ...

I recon the 24v option is going to be a big job. Just quickly looking at the 12v and 24v side by side you will run into wiring issues, disy issues, power steering and alt issues and thats just a start. What steve at rising sun has done sounds alot easier since you need a rebuild anyway.

From what I seen when I got the kith the tensioner is Hydraulic on the challenger. Well it was in my box of tricks. I was about to do it myself but then my gearbox said no more and I just handed them the bits and asked if they did it while they rebuilt the box.

Extra Fuel

Hi guys. I own a 2004 challenger and I would like to get some extra fuel on board. First thought was a replacement tank but at around $900 its a bit out there. The filter was a one way filter and you guessed it, it was installed the wrong way over heated the gearbox and seized it up on the tow truck on its way back. Another bigger rebuild later and I ...

Hey guys,

I was just talking to the guys rebuilding the box after doing a little research of the A340F gear boxes. I rang them to say there is a kit you can buy for the valve body's. Trouble is its not a A340F. Its a V4A51. Any ideas guys? Is this because of the self learning system from 2001.

Hi Guys, First post and its an expensive one. PS nice forum. Anyway I have a 2003 LS Challenger that just rolled over the 100,000ks and the auto has desided it will no longer go into 4th. It all started a couple of months ago when it would flair between 3rd and 4th. It was fine going from 4th to 3rd ...
