I'm gonna have a go at choping my 1998 gu wagon into an extra cab. i was just after some info on how other people have done it any tips and some pics so i can get some different ideas

sounds like your not taking the valve right out. mine does my 35's from 34 psi to 18 psi in about 20 somthing seconds I reckon.

so you will be able to change both front and rear with the only problem that you have to change the front pinion flange? or does the 4.8 have the bigger rear diff?

I would like to keep the 4.6 diff gears if running up to 35's isn't to bad of a gearing fo it.

I had a look around and couldn't find the info i'm after so thought i'd post up. I have a 1999 2.8L gu wagon and i'm looking at getting a newer 4.8L gu so i was wondering if i could swap the whole front and rear diff centers with the air lockers still in them and put them staight into the 4.8L ...

I have heard of people putting a 3.0L turbo on.
all or most of the GU 2.8 are electric so you can buy a chip for them and put a good exhaust on too helps
