Sounds like an earthing problem on the troublesome light. Clean up all the connections and see how that goes.

Connect the wire to your parkers, and make sure you mount the light solidly to the vehicle as it sounds like it will use the connection to the body as the earth.

I would also say the uni. Under load, the uni is "bound up" in one direction... for lack of another term. When you back off the uni is more able to move around in the cup, so if there is some free play in it, it will show up then. Haven't explained it too well, but hope it makes some sense. Brian
