i had same problem, no pedal pressure. so considering its brakes and pretty important i replaced alot..I did Front pads, rear shoes and rear wheel cylinders. including flushing out all the old dark fluid and putting in new stuff. works a treat now

thanks heaps scott. i got one set working through sheer luck..i tried everything then seen a black cylinder thing with a globe in it lol??

opened it put the globe back in and long behold they work lol..

I have 4 spotties and 2 relays...the one that is clicking is bosch but the other one isnt ...

My hilux has spotties on it that have always worked fine..and for reasons unknown they dont work anymore?

not sure exactly what model..when i bought my hilux it already had it in..when i asked the guy i got it from he just said newest model hilux..so id say 08-09

I got some photos to try and help you out.. from point A to point B is about 1205mm.

changin shackles headache???

so tried to change my shackles today..took my extended's of the rear and put the new ones on to find out there about 10mm to wide..anyone else encountered this problem?

im changing my extended shackles on my ln106 back to standard..i was just wondering what's involved in doing so as ive never done this before..will i need to put the car on a hoist or is jacking it enough?

i was thinking about hid's..on our transporter we hav 2 lights with hid kits that are insanely bright..my mate had 2 lightforce on his bullbar with hid kits and my other mate has standard lights and they are so much better then the hid kits on the lightforce.

im making up a set of rock sliders for my 89 hilux dualcab, just wondering if anyone had any blueprints with measurements and bend's etc.?
they will be out of 2 inch gal pipe..finished product to be somewhat like this without the loop on the ends

hey i briefly spoke to my engineer about doing my hilux and hes happy to do so..just wondering if anyone knows what he actually checks for? ie.bolts tight,brakes strong,steering and so on..im just trying to make sure everything he will need to check is up to spec for him.

i thought the shocks might be a problem beacuase there apparently rear shocks, how do i measure the shock? just from eye to eye or the from one eye to the seal? cheers

hey guys..i have a hilux with 3 inch suspension 2 inch body and 2 inch shackles on 33's..Im going to get it engineered in a few weeks and am taking the shackles out to do so..When fitting standard shcakles back in is there any problems i might run into or is it pretty straight forward?

thanks heaps for the info..and yeah the diff pinion seal is leaking where the tailshaft joints to it..will have to suss out the brakes and the front wheel bearings..thanks again

Hey mate with the tyre's you might need to set up the steering stops a bit better just wind em out till the tyre just clears theyre bolts on the front and back of your hubs.

and your brake issues sound like the rear shoes aren't adjusted up before you touch your handbreak check the shoes.

the hilux ive bought has a few problems that need fixing up and was hoping you guys could steer me in the right direction..
It has 33 x 12.5 maxxis bighorns on it that clear fine but when i turn full lock right the inside of the tyre rubs on the leafs??

The front diff leaks out of the rear main ...

hey guys i just got a lifted hilux, the guy i got it from has put a one piece tailshaft in it to avoid the centre bearing problem..i heard i might need to get that engineered? i know that it will have to be engineered for the lift but didnt no about the tailshaft

i test drove a hilux with 8 inch sittin on 35's and it was awesome. my mate has a hilux with a 2 inch lift on 31's and it doesnt real stand out at all. he is also in the process of goin to a 6 inch. pic:

thanks for that mate, as for the centre bearings i thought chewing through them may come into play as my mate lifted his hilux and put spacers in to drop the tailshaft to give it a straight line which seems to work good..im hoping to fit 35's and yeah it will be my road car as well as my weekend ...

hey im looking to buy a standard hilux dualcab 4x4 93 model 2.8 diesel.
