It was a 4cyl rear diff, 8 inch housing and centre from a 1987 nd pajero, as far as i know. It has the 28 spline axles, was a lsd 4.86 diff if thats any help to what axles they are. Not sure about front diff as they run a 25 spline i think on 4 cyl model.
But if you got a 28 spline front diff out of a v6 model i don't see why same couldn't be modified to suit.

thanks, will chase up rear diff shortly, actually only running 2wd with 302 v8 ford motor, thats why chasing 3.9 ratio rear end.

what would i have to do to alter diffs so can run later model 3.9 ratio diff in 87 pajero, would i have to get one from nm altered to suit solid axle.

How many revs at 100km's will 4.625 gears alter from the current 4.85's.


Are 3.9 crown and pinion from nm front diff interchangeable to nf rear 4.875 crown and pinion as same size housing and still 28 spline
