I'll throw in my 2cents worth. An intercooler sizing and pipe work is very important. Doesnt matter what type, its all relative.

We have seen 4" barrels loose up to 2.5 psi across them. 6" barrels loose .5-1psi. Don't trust pwr horsepower ratings, it has proven to be incorrect, especially with ...

I have some in my shop but I doubt your local supplier will have them but they could get them.

Yes those front coils are generally too soft for a LWB.

C45-271 19mm 10T 580/560. Too soft for a LWB in my opinion. I recommend 20mm wire but Dobinsons don't have them heavier.

while talking about the front, you bolt up your shocks with stock mounts with only a 50mm bump stop. What is the extended and compressed length of the shocks you are using?

G'Day, Shane from Suspension Stuff here.

I have recently re designed the 3" lift flexy coils. The normal duty rear flexy coils use to be made out of 19mm wire. I now get them made out of 20mm wire so they should take the load much better then the old designs. (21mm wire for the extra heavy duty ...

3 inch flexi coils are great for stopping coils dropping out on full flex but are too soft for 4wding imo.
Firstly, if you hit something too hard or too quickly they compress too quickly and the front end smashes up into the bump stops.
Secondly, the back end sags too much when towing.
Thirdly, if ...

Been watching this thread and decided I'm going the 3" flexy kit for the GU wagon. Question though, does the rear sit noticeably higher than the front? One post mentioned it might slightly.

I have fitted the +16mm Superior longer lowers (thanks Shane) and I have no issues with the tyres touching on my GU wagon.

I run 35x12.5 STTs and no quarter chop.

does that extra flex actually get you any further though?

i mean, your front moves no better than stock. kind of defies the point of upgrading the suspension if you only focus on the rear. may as well get an IFS vehicle and have the same articulation but more comfort.

By upgrading, what are you looking for? Great low down torque with good power. You need to probably drive a vehicle that is already done and decide if thats what you want.

We use Garrett bb units with great success, look factory once they are finished. Sizing is critical. If it is not done ...
