Got the answer for ya early.... The model was a dickie seat out of the 1984 long wheel base 7 seater.. the seat folds down from the back. I mounted it facing backwards the ran lap belts catch from the exsisting floor mounts and high tensile bolted the sash belt into the wheel ...

No my kids never got sick... they thought it was great ... torrmenting drivers behind us with their constant waving :armsup: :lol: And the esky always worked as a foot rest... and was never left behind.. :D

My 40 is a soft top just thought you should know.

I put bucket seats in the front and a pajero dickie seat in the back of my 77 FJ40....

A simple answer to having a three seater in the back is .... NO.

The only people that could fit three in the back would have to be very small people. two adults can fit but even then it`s a tight ...

maybe for 1 normal person and 2 amputees.

There are seats that run down the sides that face inward like the troopies. My bj40 has a blue plate for 7! Mind you, all the complaining from the back got all back seats removed quick smart.

Seriously, for a forward facing seat, would you seat 3 of ...

I was wondering if you can fit a 3 seater in the rear of a 1976 fj40, and if so what seat fits?
I was wanting to have a single and bench seat in the front (check my wanted ad) and a 3 seater in the rear, is it possible???
