We run all three of the makita ones. Have been great so far. I would not buy the baby brushed unit again, as the baby brushless is so much better.

Guys with big tyres swear by them - 37" and over. I only use knock on lead on my wheels though.

Pfft... like you worry about noise - you are as deaf as I am.
Endless air is on its way (great minds think alike). Hopefully see it tomorrow, so I can develop it over the weekend. Hours of fun I am sure!
EVA endless air is coming to a dealer near you!

Re: Best 12v air compressor?
Thanks for that. I nearly bought one a few months back - but they only had 24v in stock. I have become a dealer for the best, most powerful 12v compressor available. Getting final pricing now. They are $1900USD but used by the military etc. Draw up to 180A and put out 15 CFM at 0psi and 9cfm at ...

Re: Best 12v air compressor?
Thanks guys, I have found a massive unit from the states - draws 150A and has a continuous rating. Suitable for air tools without a tank! About 3k though. I'll have a look at the twin ARB's, that said I have purposely avoided ARB over the last 5 years, due to having a major issue with every item I ...

Best 12v air compressor?
Hi all, I am looking for a serious duty 12v air compressor, Every one I have seen so far are pretty b grade, and I would not fit to my own vehicle - so I couldn't sell them to our customers. Must be capable of pumping 8x 37" tyres from 15-30psi. Happy to look at industrial units, and budget of up to ...

Re: Welder advice (high end)
The one in Mackay is tempting - but looks as if it has been used hard! The non euro fitting puts me off as I swap guns a lot. @$800 a gun - at that price I couldn't bring myself to own more than one fronius torch! This welder is on the back burner for the next month or so while I get these campers ...

Re: Welder advice (high end)
Thanks mate.
I should clarify what I said above..
I don't need to have procedures - I think it is a good idea though, and as I weld a big variety of components it would make it quicker to set up each time.
Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Justin

Re: Welder advice (high end)
Thanks guys.
I need to do procedures for all welded components so the synergistic models will make it a lot easier. Dialing in exact numbers leaves a lot less margin for ever - compared to turning a variable dial that have a habit of getting bumped.
Has anyone here had to do procedure type work?

Having owned a bundera for years - I would be starting from scratch with wider diffs and new links. They are way top heavy, and need some work as a base vehicle.

Re: How long Does a Water pump last
A new one (viewed as a package inc gaskets, bolts etc.) would be more likely to fail IMO. Some of the LS1 ones have failed out the box. A mate had 3 fail in a matter of weeks. With the belt off see if it feels kosher when you turn it (your mechanic has done it -but ideally you get a feel for it and ...

Re: Welder advice (high end)
Got quoted $5400 for the EWM Phoenix 355 after a bit of negotiation. That is complete with gun / torch and I am sure they would throw in drive rollers. Bigger 451 is $8500 with remote head and watercooled torch - 450A @ 100% duty. Seem like quality units (was probably more impressed with the ...

Could be an option, 3k would be good buying. What is the story with these German EWM machines? The guys that do some fab for us run them and swear by them. The lincoln looks like a good unit - a litter dearer though. I will keep my eye out second hand for sure. Thanks guys, good info.
Has anyone here run the miller xmt350 Mpa? $4700 from the US - can run on 240 / 415v.
I have a Maxstar 300lx at the moment - so would be easier to stay with the same brand.
Thinking I can bring one in with my glass?
Cheers bru
