Re: Converting Dana 60 Passenger drop to Driver drop

Moglux my comment about the C's was in response to the idea of flipping the housing and/or pressing out the tubes. It didn't occur to me that if you pressed out the tubes you could just re-rotate the castor angle to suit  I hadn't thought about sleeving the cut tubes but. Good way to do it i ...

Re: Converting Dana 60 Passenger drop to Driver drop

Everyone is so wise... but few have done it.. the Stock C's are the same left to right, measure from the Cast housing out equal on each side cut the tubes, sleeve the housing and swap tubes over.. Axles will then fit as they would in its orginal configuration just on opposite sides . Set your steer ...

Re: 9" VS Nissan = school me please

I wouldn't think so Johnsy but you could have a spare nissan center built Arb Complete center cheaper than a 9" with a spool I'd say. $1200 for locker and $600 mods, $400 new gear set = $2200. Don't think you would get a 9" here for that..... Room mate gets 9" centres built with lightned gears any ...

Will only consider 39 or 39.5s only. Leaving only BFG I think Can't get the bfg here. Maybe will look at the iroc bias. Got to November to make a decision You can get the bfg here.. Just got to get the right dealer.. Even look at bringing them in on your own.. But a bfg your looking at about $1200 ...

Same rear diff as mine and its a ford 70... See the tag under the bolts. On the cap what are they... Unless you pull the housing off to axles out you won't know if its a 60 or 50 front.. If the front axle tapper down to 30 spline it's a 50 if they stay at 35 spline it's a 60

There will be tags on the diff like this... A number starting with 60xxxx-x or 61xxxx-x this is the number that will tell you everything.. But those tags say there most but not if the front is a 50 or 60.... OK, done more research The front (248) is definately a 60 or 61. The rear a 70. Ratio is 3 ...

Re: Dana 70 Diff's / F350 Diff's (V8 Diesel Superduty)

if it has a ford badge, its a Ford 70 rear.. big strong
front without numbers could be a dana 50 or 60.. if you cant find the ID tag on the housings (tag bolted to the diff cover) you will have to measure the crown wheel diameter.
