Put your rear bar back on and change to radials for the road to start with. There would be no reason to go to the 3 inch lift without spacers, the height will be pretty much the same.

The one that is rounding off is the filler plug. A" Metrinch" socket which grips the flats rather than the corners of the bolt should get it off.

Thanks Dave, I will give the detent spring a try and keep my fingers crossed. Come to think of it that is pretty much what I have been doing on steep descents anyway!

Any ideas on why my transfer case jumps out of low range under engine braking ?
