Front hub nut size R9 Rodeo 4WD.

Anyone know what size socket is required for the front hub nut?
Or if it is indeed a nut, looking at the workshop manual it looks like a ring with holes in it, which might require a special tool.

Can anyone shed some light before I start stripping it down.

Cheers.

For my Rodeo I'd go a 5.7 LS1 for

b) Has a "small" size and weight to fit the engine bay
c) Has in the right spec, up to twice the power at the fly than the 3.2 V6.

However, If it there was a balls out option.. a current model Chev 6.2L Supercharged would ...

Sudso, Safari always have made a snorkel for Diesel R9 2.8
They are of the design that comes right along the guard and in next to the indicator.

Not for the V6 however.

Whether these could be adapted for the V6 no one will give an answer on.

The best I have found is this one.

theRobdog, what does it look like? Is it really long and travels the length of the front guard?

This is the one I've been wanting to source. Then custom fit it for the V6.

Thanks Bundy, I'll keep it in mind. The hose I have seems to be going well so far. Had 125PSI in it for 12 tires, it was pretty hot but didn't leak or come off.

Strangely enough after 4WDing for 5 years I've never had to use an electric compressor to air up. Mainly because I've rarely aired down in ...

Thanks Rainsey. From the TJM website it says this snorkel was used on the 4cyl petrol and diesel model R7 and R9.

Just gotta see if I can source one for the right price now. The local TJM megastore in hobart have quoted $545 for one :/
I'm hoping for around $450.

The way I see it is you have a couple of things in your favour.

You have a fuel pump that can handle much more than the G13BB needs. ie stock flow rate for a VL commo would be much more than a 1.3L 4Cyl. So increasing the fuel pressure shouldn't worry the pump too much.

Secondly, are there any ...

Airtec snorkel on 98+ diesel Rodeo.

I have finally seen out on the road the other day the perfect snorkel. It was the Airtec on a R9 2.8 diesel Rodeo.
Usually snorkels for the Rodeo come all the way along the guard and enter right beside the headlight, which in my opinion look rather poor.

Just wondering if anyone has one of these ...

or find a complete SD508 9540
