Cheers for the replies guys.

Yeah had a look at the hella and narva ones, but they werent the right size.

Took it to ARB and we tried their indicators and they fit pretty well. So bought a pair of them ($30 bucks for the pair with globes) and they work a treat.

Cheers

I see what your saying :)

The current indicator housings in my alloy bar (standard patrol bar) are the same height, but quite a bit longer. I suppose if worst comes to worst, i will just make the wholes wider.

I have emailed ARB, but if they dont get back to me i might just pop in there on ...

Interior / Map lights

Im awaiting to get my roof console, but it doesnt come with any lights on it.

Anyone know of a good place or site that sells good quality map/interior lights? Ive had a look around at the obvious ones (hella, ebay etc) but nothing really outstanding.

Any ideas?

Cheers

I had a similar problem with my carby GQ patrol, where it wouldnt idle, or idle roughly but would pretty much run fine through the rev range.

Rebuilt the carby and its been fine ever since

Bent :(

I've bent both my drag link and tie rod in the front of the GQ. It's a 1988 LWB GQ petrol. Most of the 4wdriving i do is sand, or light-medium mud/clay tracks.

Should i just go and buy 2nd hand standard ones, or should i go for the more solid and moddified ones from Snake racing for example ...

Uh Oh

I am a silly boy.

I decided to clean up all the dodgy wiring, in my 88 model GQ patrol LWB petrol carby, that i did under the dashboard from a while back. Fix all the stuff ups, put some relays and fuses in  and just make it tidy. I was doing this all at night time so it doest really help ...

We drove back from outback challenge a couple of years ago, nissan gq dual cab petty on 35s, averaged about 40 YES....... 40 litres to 100 kms. could not work it out, ran beautiful, no fuel leaks. Found out later on when home that as you would apply the accelerator the choke was opening up as well ...

The speedo had been calibrated to 33" tyres.

I used 90 litres exactly. So i suppose it would have ended up working out to be about 34 L per 100 kays still

Bad economy...even for a patrol

Drove up to Moora and back on the weekend...only problem was i had to refill! I drove from my place to Moora and only got back as far as Bindoon before I had to refill again.

So out of a 95 Litre tank, i got 260 kays.

Something must seriously be wrong.
