it was all they had at the servo. i wasnt keen on using the shit for lawn mowers. If you read through the link that was quoted at the beginning of this thread, you will find that the "shit for lawn mowers" is exactly what you "should" be using. There is no gain to be had by using fancy big dollar ...

I used to put half a litre of kero into my old diesel lux, it loved it. Would this oil addition have a benefit to a 1hdfte? I thought KERO was abrasive properties??? Don't think I'd be using it. Metho to get rid of water but not KERO. Never heard that Kero was abrasive??? No way!!! It's slippery ...

GQ Patrol - TD42, 365'000k's on the clock. Very good cond.
2,000k's so far with the 2T. Much quieter and seems smoother.
Not sure about economy, maybe a little better. Less smoke up hills, etc.
I'll definitely keep using it.

Do you have any free play? Have you tried giving it a good bleed? Have you changed the master or slave cylinder lately? I had a similar issue with my GQ. No problem until I put a non genuine slave cyl on. It turned out the slave was a slightly different capacity to the original and wasn't equalizing ...

TD42 Maverick. I did 350K's this weekend. It's definitely much quieter.
Even the mrs noticed how quiet it was.

Seemed better on juice than normal, although I didn't do any figures to back that up.

Put 400ml of Valvoline 2stroke ($6/1L) in my GQ TD42 today when I filled up.
I've only driven 40K's so far.

With mine, I hit every joint with the soldering iron. Made it work for about 10 mins, then nothing. So I changed the 47uF 16v capacitor for a new one and it's been working fine for the last month. Cost me 10 cents!!! And it's dead easy!! Caps get old and dry out and get out of whack or stop working ...
