Man it would be good if you could scan the safari template and post it somewhere with a link to it.
I like your thinking re custom build now, but dependinmg upon the apearance would maybe like to fit the safari at a later date without additional holes in the body

High bore wear, fuming etc
Will this type of wear show up in compression testing or as excess smoke?
I'm trying not to buy a dud. But you hit it on the head the engine only has 55k "showing" so following on from your comments I'm a little concerned.
