Prado tyre sizes?

Hi Guys, I'm working on a new type of rear light bracket to suit the
'90' series Prado.
Can anyone tell me the normal or most popular tyre size for this model, or are they mostly 265 70 16s, does anyone fit 33s?
thanks in advance, Rod.

Re: EGR shim.

Cheers, people have been doing it this way for yonks and no problems to date. There is nothing stopping you from using another thin gasket if you want, even silastic or similar, I only have the one gasket on mine. ;)

EGR shim.

Hi guys, just fitted the egr "shim" to the 2.8td, quicker spooling and I reckon a bit more Zing, took me about an hour all up to make the plate and fit. http://i608.photobucket.com/albums/tt164/ferret/EGRSHIM.jpg http://i608.photobucket.com/albums/tt164/ferret/plateinsitu.jpg http://i608.photobucket ...

The whole problem is caused by making the suspension do what it's not made for.. When a wheel drops into a hole and the other wheel is on a rock, the axle will push the spring to where it wants it regardless, and if you have given it more travel, the tendancy to twist the spring is greater. It can't ...

Mate, You should try "ACETAL" it's a type of nylon, very hard and we use it on boat lifters as pulleys running stainless cable, lifting 2 to 3 ton, check it out!!

Oh it could be just that as they don't get used that often that the "0" rings get a bit stuck. I'm sure that if you pull them apart and clean them with a bit of lite oil they'll be fine.

There is nothing wrong with Stauns, they are like any tool, if you look after it, it will look after you. ;)

you HAVE to know what pressures your running before you start. doesnt everybody do this before letting air out?? exactly my point, you need to know your pressure before you know how much to let out. thus using a ferret you would have to use a separate gauge first, then deflate, then use gauge again ...

Ok i just researched and watched mr ferret and his fancy deflator, i wont be buying one because all it is is an ARB deflator minus the gauge. I own an ARB deflator and if its a bit slower than mr ferrets one i dont care enough to save myself 20 seconds per tyre plus have to check by separate gauge ...

mrw82 has a valid comment with regard to the "bit flat" saga, however in ten years of sales world wide, this has never been a problem, and it's not as bigger drama to check pressures beforehand as suggested. The whole Idea of the Ferret was to be quick, keyring job, can't loose a valve and to out last ...

I can get a tolerance of less than 0.5psi with the EZY, in one go. Any cost saving is soon made up for in extra stuffing around. After a few goes using Ferret there is zero stuffing around as pressures are spot on or half psi out. After airing down I never check by pressures now as its always the ...
