Hi guys, just fitted the egr "shim" to the 2.8td, quicker spooling and I reckon a bit more Zing, took me about an hour all up to make the plate and fit.

wouldn't you need another gasket for the other side of the shim ?

Cheers, people have been doing it this way for yonks and no problems to date. There is nothing stopping you from using another thin gasket if you want, even silastic or similar, I only have the one gasket on mine.

Looks great!
But I agree with above reply, I would re-use your gasket if it's still in good shape on the intake side of your blocking plate, not on the EGR side...
