Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I have put a lot of thought into 4.88 diffs.
But it also requires me to put .74 overdrive 5th gear in just to keep the same highway driving.
Then ontop of all that, I don't have much faith in putting a smaller 5th gear in because I have already smashed the genuine one which is bigge.
Just seems like ...

I have a mate with the same car with same motor and cam but original heads
Same gearing and wheels.
Mine puts out noticeable more torque then his but we are both disgusted in these things.
I started this thread as a last hope thing.

I told Joel I was pretty disappointed with it and he said the only way to get real torque figures are stroking it or blower.

Those figures are after rebuild yes. And all in 3rd gear. It definetly has a lot more torque then standard. But maybe your right, expectations could be a bit high, my understanding of bucket loads of torque would be my old td42 760nm.

I would like to speak to people who have gone down the supercharger idea. It's a lot of money to outlay that comes without a lot of questions marks.
Are they like a airconditioner where it sucks the hell out of the motor.?

If its manual, why are you dynoing it in 3rd? 4th 1:1.

I don't know mate why it was dynod in 3rd, I join pieces of pipe together not tune cars
And if you go from 32inch wheels to 35inch wheels it can't be 1:1 gear ratio can it.
Maybe that had something to do with it.

4b fabrications specialise in this stuff. They recommended my cam and heads all suited for low down torque.
It has a lot more then standard pos ls1.
But still terrible.
Am I wasting my time trying to better it?
Would a good auto box better it.
Or?

I am always worried about my car. It's not supposed to put 200kw. I blew my old standard motor up and don't want it to happen again. At the time of building motor I didn't really even consider ls1. I would like ls1 for it's natural power output without worrying all the time whether or not I will get ...

Would I get more if I sold components individually. I am shocked it's only worth that much. Cost me nearly 20 grand to build it all.

Hpc coated pistons. Inlet plenum, bored exhaust. fully balanced, bigger dual valve springs. Just to name a few things. My question was what would the whole lot be worth to sell. I want to do up a ls1. So I am considering selling my diesel setup.

I have td42 with internal mods, has done 12k km. modified pump gt2876 turbo custom exhaust manifold front mount intercooler custom 4inch airbox... Etc just to put it brief. I want to know what it's worth as I want ls1

dynod with 35 with 4.3 diffs. 268hp. 760nm of torque.. 150cc of fuel, 30psi boost. with cooler. custom turned ehxaust mainfold, dump 3inch exhaust. hycloned, fitting laminova soon.. also just put new motor in with inlet plenum, enhaust bored out. twin valve springs. 100%balnced. HPC coated pistons ...

14.9 to the 100,, in the bush playing it could be anything.
how much oil vapurs are supposed to coming out of engine breather.
how many litres or what ever the measurement is

i know the pump is not maxed out cos its a new motor, and for its run in perioid i turned fuel backwards 1/4 + 1/8th of a turn and turned boost back to 10 psi... before the new motor went in it was running 30psi and still not maxing out pump.. it was pulling 190rwkw measured with 35's.
so when new ...

they are brand new injectors :( and pump only got timing checked 3 weeks ago. the inlet is wet with oil,,, but its always been.. due to engine breather i thought?

its a braided line to turbo its supposably correct. no just running normal lift pump. i took it for drive today.. the idle is not staying steady.. i have it set to 750rpm and it varies between 750 and 600rpm.. it never used to do that..
where abouts do i put oil catch can... at engine breather or ...

how come people are suggesting oil.. how does make such a thing happen.. i am not doubting you both but i cant comprehend it. how does oil change something so bad.

did you get wheel allignment??
they are a bias tire to so they arnt going to be good for road anyway.. i am not saying that its supposed to shake though,, to me that sounds like wheel allignment staright away.

is the injector pump rotation exactly right with the timing marks... did they put the probe up its ass to test pump timing.. are the injectors new or reconditioned.. is the fuel leeks anywhere.. are you bleeding it correctly.. glow plugs will only take play when you start the vehicle.
