hydro assist?

I want to upgrade my toyota 3rz pump to something like a commodore or falcon pump to handle running my hydro assist , just wondering what others are using? And also do you run ATF or hydraulic oil? PS I already know about the TG and PSC kits ;) Forgive my ignorance but what's hydro Assist? Cheers.

Don't diesel's load compensate to a certain degree? Do the revs fall before the black smoke pours out?
As somebody said previously, I'd be have a look at the injector pump and back it off a little, if it's a new thing check the injectors.

Or you could turbo it and make use of the extra fuel.

sorry bout the hijack mate but hey brad 93hilux if yours is a 5le motor how did you turbo it with the efi on the injector pump. mate of mine has the 5le and i was told you cant turbo it cause you cant wind the fuel pump up and it will run lean on boost.ive started a thread on here toyota section so ...
