well there you go... thats looks fine and you didnt have a cover on for half the time... HG - are you running a flywheel cover??? the reason i brought up water damage is because before is shit itself i was in a really deep boghole and thats when is started to slip... then it dried out a bit, i got ...

im not sure about the clutch assembly because that came with the car when i brought it but i replaced the clutch plate with a "heavy duty" excedy for a holden 308...

Hi Guys,

just wanted to know what flywheel cover is best to use???

i have a Turbo bolt pattern 308 mated to the 40 series 4-speed box

i was goin to fabricate one up, but before i do i just wanted to see if theres anything i can buy that will work or will need minor modifications to work???

im currently running the 4-speed manual with the original 1 piece trasnfer case and i havent had any problems.... even though i was told the 1-piece transfer were prone to cracking however im upgrading to the split case out of a 45 or 47 series (not sure - its basically the split case form a 60 ...

oh..k well thats good then thats what i want out of my set-up when its in... i dont really want to touch the diff gears coz my 40 is really good on the highway!! i need to be doing about 100km to keep 4th gear on 2600rpm at like that its still responsive if i have to overtake or wateva... so that ...

also if your running a manual... make sure you mark the clutch assembly so you bolt it up to the flywheel the same way it came off or youll stuff up your balancing!!!!!!

i learnt that the hard way...

what about the 6.5 ltr Turbo Diesel ???

i havent seen either the straight diesel or the trubo diesel perform... but i find it hard to believe that it wont pack a punch???

not to mention its mechanically injected making it practically wireless and computer free, its basically water proof...

from its original spot... back of the transfer case you pull of the standard mechanical cord and replace it with this pulse sensor thing that screws straight on... converts revolutions into an electronic pulse its really good because you have to calibrate it to link tyre size to distance... so ...
