Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I for one would definitely be interseted in an event closer to Sydney, having pulled out of this years OBC and Cliffhanger it would be great to give the Bushie a run in a weekend event.

Hi Celia, yes I meant to say that Mick is definitely shown a marked improvement now he is not driving a Rover (sorry Mal) and is now in a NISSAN, both Max and Mick are doing well.
I think we only had 5 NSW entries and 2 are in the top 15, good stuff.

Last year I think you will find most of the Cane Toad Mob sent their cars by a car carrier and then flew to Broken Hill, apart from driving your rig to Broken Hill you might think about hiring a car trailer, because if it is anything like my experiences you will need one.

Dave Rowlins (Rowley) mechanic at T4 could be interested, he can use a GPS and is a good mechanic ? not sure how he is on Rovers though.
He was navi in the 2005 OBC and has competed in the 8 day Xtreme.
Might be worthwhile giving him a call.

I have just finished watching the 2007 OBC DVD and I have to say the in car footage fron Todd Robards and Ivan Vella chasing Rohan and Wayne at Denian was great, for me, it really makes you want to get back out there and get into it.

Zuffen, you mention your putting GQ diffs under your Bushie.
I have a Bushie Trayback that I compete in Winch Events eg The Outback Challenge and for this years event we put GU diffs under it and they still fit under the guards ...

Well we have done our final test run on the weekend and have a short list of minor things to look at. Should have everything ready by the weekend in time for a wash and polish and load up for a 4 o'clock start on Thursday morning.

The OBC is always held in May and is generally early to mid May.
I doubt they have set a date for 2008 as yet but if plan for mid May you should be pretty safe or contact Paul or Sharyn Vanderhorst their details are on the OBC web site.

I competed in the Wynns Overlander Rally in 1989 this commenced in Bathurst and was based in Yaraka for 5 or 6 days and finished on the Gold Coast. Overlander Magazine were the sponsors and 1st prize was Suzuki Vitara. I think this event was run by a guy called Max Stahl.

I bought a '95 model HSE back in '97 it had approx 80,OOO K's on it when I got it and when I sold it in 2001 it had 240,000 K's.

I'm in for the 9th time, GU diffs under the truck now so maybe I'll get to the end next year without blowing diffs that we seem to do every year, have to say even with all the mechanical problems we seem to have in this event I still can't help coming back for more. Looking forward to May 2007.

If your in Sydney call Gary Osborne at English Auto Parts on 4353 2844, they are in Tuggerah on the Central Coast and there is fark all he doesn't know about Rovers especially Landi's.

It is good to see that the first NSW team to enter the Xtreme 8 day event are still running and only one day to go, good on Marc and David (Rowley).
