i bought an 88 model as my first lux,straight as a die,brand new tyres,only needed a pink slip and i payed $1000. 253 is worth fark all especially since its not engineered and probably needs a blue slip Well thats the thing it was engineered,but no one can source the paperwork,so if theres some way ...

Its Navy Blue,its in pretty good nick,no rust or dents.speedo reads around 240k from memory so i'm guessing drivelines done that,and the motor ran pretty crisp when i drove it.I would think it would suit someone wanting to build a comp truck,but i could be mistaken as i'm not really into that sort ...

ahk im in nsw so might be different what about lifting blocks that go under ya spring pack Im in Newcastle,and am pretty sure 2 inch suspension and 2 inch body is as high as you can go,anything bigger needs to be engineered.I also know that lowering blocks are illegal,as i have witnessed this first ...

a mate of mine has a 2010 sr5 with a 2 inch lift,we put my mates old 33x12.5 mickey t's on it and they scrubbed pretty bad so he took them off.He was told he needed a 4 inch snake kit to run them or chop the guards,but i'm only going off what he told me

I had a 2001 hilux and boght a timing belt kit.i think it was aroung the 150 mark and then gave a mate a carton and a hand to put it in.but he said in the workshop they would charge 450 and up.small price to pay for piece of mind and new engine

yea fair enough,i didnt think they would hit on full flex but wasnt sure if i hit a decent bump at high speed if they would smash up into the flairs80's_delirious wrote:if you are using a standard offset rim, it should be OK any rubbing would be minor. sounds like the 2'' is the way to go then,but with the 33s being 12.5'' wide will they scrub on the flares cos they look like they sit a bit lower than the original wheel arches on the front quarter panels?

just after a bit of advice on lift options for my 80.its a 97 standard with stock suspension and its got fibreglass flares.its got an arb winch bar with a winch so the front sags a fair bit,it sits about 40mm lower than the bak.i am probly looking at 33s in reguards to tyres as im planning a trip up ...

Superior Engineering has some nice choices of rebuildable shocks. Buy them once and you can fit new seals in when they leak instead of replacing the whole shock. Ironman stuff is pretty cheap and you get what you pay for. yea i had ironman leafs and torsion bars in my old hilux,and they were stiff ...

hey guys had my 80 for about a month now and im gettn pretty sick of it lookin like a low rider so i think its time for the lift.its a 97 standard which i think is the same as dx without the little sticker,i want to run 35's so just wanting to know if a 4 inch lift is enuff or do i need to go bigger ...
