so the front will be all ok .with a cv tail shaft do u run the cv at the diff end or transfer end?whats a good cv to use strength wise and how do u balance them as this is still street driven.

thanks cplux yeah its a 89 dual cab with dual case's set up my own flexy suspension set up with snake track bar so sounds like it might hit the crossmember as it sits low .
might just start with one in the front and go from there .

hi does anyone know if a 80 series high pinion third member fits a hilux housing.want to convert high pinion front n rear for more tail shaft clearance. can get them from states with the oil slingers ,but was wanting a cheaper option.

no not yet but it wont have the bike engine anymore its going to have a v8 with 5 speed and single transfer. on lux steer diffs .just need to finish my dual cab then will start on this.

should be strong enough as they used to get used for v8 conversions and a bike engine has no where near the torque of a v8.

red60 the bike engine and gear box wont be chain driven it will have the sproket removed from bike engine and replaced with a flange (last pick above) which will be joined to a shaft via a rubber flex-joint the same as a vy commodore drive shaft so shouldnt need a baring on input shaft to gear box ...

yeah i have seen them all on youtube and there is a guy who put a copy harley engine in his i think its called ground howg he used a uni from a jeep to couple the engine to sierra gearbox with a custom clutch set up. i think the set up of the bike engine and transfer will determine size of wheels 33 ...

gday mate , i got a dual case lowprofile crossmember from lowrange about 4 years ago and it was only about 420 landed and bolts straight up .i have a vn v8 in my lux all i did was bolt up crossmember than did the engine mounts from there only need to redo the 2 mounts then not all 4.

I am going to fit my radiator behind the cab of my hilux and was wondering what pipes to use under the cab .was thinking either exhaust pipe and rubber bends or poly pipe. what would be better? im leaning towards the exhaust pipe cause of the heat factor as it will run about 200mm from the muffler ...
