a cheaper option for hydro steer?
I was playing around at work the other day resealing a side shift cylinder on a forklift and thought why don't people look at these for hydro steer they are a cascade double ended ram with flat mounts on the back and about simlar size as a psc kit and offer about 8'' of travel either way. also there ...

Re: hj75 wont pull up (brakes)????
with the brake light on it will either mean lack of fluid causing air in the lines making the pedal real soft
either that or you don't have any vacuum but the pedal is usually harder so im guessing your loosing fluid somewhere or have air in the system?

Re: New MY12 Extracab hilux
you don't need lift to fit bigger rubber man just cut the guards out and i reckon you'll get atleast 35-36'' under her hahaha,
nah i reckon you'll probably get a large 31x10.5 under it or even a small 32x10.5 with little to no scrubbing, but don't take my word for it.

Re: new tougher axle fj40
hey just curious as to why you need to do a spring over if you only plan to run 33's it would be pointless if you want clearance as you can get 33's to clear with stock springs and all the extra uneeded height would just make it more unstable? with the diffs if your going to be upgrading the axles i ...

Re: Engineering for turbo?
victoria with the exhaust my engineer told me it had to be behind the last opening side window and can't come out the left hand side due to people on sidewalks etc. but if it's a diesel i would also recommend the tip of it to be facing down a tad so it doesn't swerle around the back while running ...

Re: widening diffs with stock parts, does it work?
Yep, widening the axle tubes like we did on kon's car is simple strong and relativly cheap. How wide do you want it? With 60s axles widened on just the short side under a 40 its pretty phat. Been toying with the idea of 60+80 gear. Would make the most hardcore toy axle you can i was looking at ...

Re: widening diffs with stock parts, does it work?
i'm building it just for a bit of fun to muck around in, in the hills around home most of it's alot of off camber rocky terrian so the main purpose for it is stability. Any reason why you wouldn't use a wider then stock diff? i also plan on building the truck to meet Tuff Trucks rules and regulation ...

widening diffs with stock parts, does it work?
Sometime soon i plan on hopefully starting my fj45 buggy build and i was hoping to be able to achive a wide stance at a low cost, asides from wheel spacer and offset rims. i came up with the idea of cutting the short side tube of a set of 60 series diffs and buying another set of 60 series axles and ...
