Re: turning up Boost on d40

You can use a simple pneumatic bleed valve on the map sensor to increase boost pressure.

Unless the chip you use has a boost control function, it is a very good idea to manually lift the boost 2-4psi to help burn the extra fuel your putting in.

superchargers are nowhere near as good as people think. The only reason they get any decent boost out of them for drag racing is because they are pouring methanol through them and the rules say ...

There is .2 afr difference before and after a cat converter in most cases. After cat will read .2 richer than before.
Its important to remember that because the O2 reading has changed, doesnt mean the mixture actually changes.
Still X amount of air and fuel being burnt by the engine, but chemical ...

14.5 is ok, marginally rich but wont cause any problems.

I took the elbow off,

ran a string around the log and a runner to compare the circumference to get some idea of its cross section.

I really hope this is a stir up?

The 3L is probably patrol owners worst nightmare. Reliability of this is 1/10th of any TD42.
Cost of getting the TD42 to go 100% better than any 3L would be about 8-10K (which would be considerably less than what it will cost for your planned upgrade)

Even a bolt on turbo kit less the machining you would by lucky to get away under $2K if you fitted it yourself.
Turbo $1200 (good luck with a mismatched pos thats designed for a petrol motor, this figure is more likely to be up around $1800)
Oil and water lines + all the fittings ~$300
