I had a similar problem with mine, i dumped all the brake fluid, done a full line bleed, all good now.

i have a mq running a L28, recently it has started missing really bad between 1000-2000 revs, i replaced all the usual stuff, fuel filter, coil, leads, plugs, but no improvement, when i am backing off the revs it misse's bad to and starts to backfire, i am leaning toward a fuel prob. Has anyone else ...

yeah i got the atz 4rbs in 285s and i've put at least 50k on them and think they're preety good. good on dirt roads, a little noisy on road (not as bad as muds). the only issue i have sometimes is on my 1.5km dirt driveway after shitloads of rain - but i'm pulling a 2t tool trailer!!! let some air ...

i fried my alternator on my last outing and my charge light don't come on at all, please post when you find the problem, sure others have this problem to.

haven't seen any problems with the cooling system as yet, no pressurising from blown head gasket if thasts what you mean

sorry i should have went further into it, we replaced the fuel filter as a given, tested the pump for flow, all good. Timing is right, air filter all good.Checked all vacuum hose's, the only thing we did before it started playing up was put a new radiator in, but i don't see that changing anything ...

ok outers i have a stumper for u. My mate has a 84 hilux, one minute it runs like a gem, the next minute, its backfiring and running like a dog. Stopping then starting the thing again seerms to help, so i am leaning toward a coil, who's got some ideas.

thanks for the help. we pulled the shifter out as per the link provided and found 20 years of mud and hair and god knows what else in there. cleaned it out and now we can at least get 2h and 4h.

my mate just bought a 1984 hilux. We cant't get the thing out of 2 wheel high. Is there something we aren't doing or is the gearbox screwed. There is play in the lever but it won't disengage.

what are the best tires to run, i am talking mud, road tires that will pull me from the shite down the river but also give me good mileage on the road. I currently run 31" BF goodrich AT, not a bad tire, but need to get newies, any input would be great.
