Child seats in a troopy

Hey guys i am thinking about buying a troopy, but we have 3 kids and one on the way so we need atleast two child seats, one rear facing and one forward facing, can ya do it with a sideways facing seat or do i have to get a troopy with two rows of seats???

Yeah its a big gamble i know.... i hate the fact i got to gamble but the missus said she wanted this one and well we all know how that ends right :p

All the cars around here are WAY overpriced, we looked at a 91 80 series with over 350km on it for 16k!

I have looked at a few for sale here, there ...

GQ auto box

Looking at a GQ auto with 300000km on it, should i be worried about the box or anything big? or is it the normal 300k problems like bushes etc etc??

Not had a patrol before just need to know where to start looking.

i got a list of questions for him tomorrow when we talk, then i got to get my butt down to sydney too look at it, don't like the idea of flying to buy a car, sorta compels you to buy it even if it aint perfect cause ya got to get home :p trying to find someone to take me down so i can drive it home.

Yes i drove 500km to test drive it and drove back to ask the questions......

The only reason i posted here asking about the year is cause when i spoke to the caryard i forgot to ask the year and if it was EFI, so rather then ring the fella at 10pm i though i would ask here, i am not buying it ...

it was more i could not quite make out the sticker, thought someone who has one would be able to recognise the shape and know what it was... figured it was a efi stick but wasn't 100% sure

Is there a problem with the gear boxes or is it just generally? i have heard the boxes are pretty tuff or am i misinformed? was tossing up between a 80 series or a GQ but i could not find a decent cruiser for the same money... only the old 4.0L 60 series motors... plus i think the GQ is a little ...

hey mate, there are not a real lot of inherent problems, they tend too overheat a little in soft sand and slow driving for ages, but they are a fairly tough little rig, love mine mate!

just buy my XJ man, i think everyone has missed a couple of important facts

1. Auto is good in sand and mud cause you don't loose any momentum
2. downhill sucks as they run on (speaking from experience)
3. but you don't have to be as experienced as it chooses the best gear to do anything in ...
