Just to let everyone know that by adding a inline solid State fuel pump 'Facet 4.5-6psi' (quiet as a mouse)
has fixed the fuel delivery problem at around 2500rpm. Mind you some had mentioned that the lift pump could be on it's way out too, we will see what happens. Thanks for everyone's reply's.

Just wondering if anybody out there knows what type and where I would get a small inline fuel pump to help/assist to keep pressure up to the pump?

Thanks and yes judging by the filter it must be full of slime and rust. I have been having a lot of fuel issues so I thought cleaning the tank would be a start and flushing the lines would be next. Thanks for your help and I'll see what happens.

Sounds like we missed out on a good weekend, but a few other things poped up that we couldn't go, but we will be there for Mud, Bulls and Music for sure.
How many trucks were in the super modified class? Well done to Linda and Arron!

thanks fellas, the turbos look to good to be true and just hoping there not cheap and nasty, don't want it falling apart whilst in a comp or anything. I want it to at least come on about 1500rpm. I'll take the above comments into consideration

You can find these by the dozens and cheap on good ol Ebay, One question, would I be wasting my money or is it good value? has any one used these turbo's on TD42? Looking for one for my GU comp rig.

Had a ball competing in Superior! :D Will be there next round for sure. Good work to Craig and the gang for putting on a well organised comp. We were able to do 7 tracks in one day and still finish early enough to relax and have a few beers! :) Well done to Linda and Aaron just pipping us into the ...

Well Nick and I are not coming to this round, simple reason we are giving other comps a go and also it's sad to see the moral of the comp go down hill. Bring on the old days , but we may have a crack half way through. This will be our first missed round since Tough Tracks has started. Good luck to ...

Just got my internal cage done in my gu ute, and because where the tube comes done near the air conditioning unit fan, i can not fit it back in. Can you get smaller units so it can fit? or does it look like I may have to go with out? I would love to have it back in

. Thanks

ifu have it already done cant u just try it?
It does sound stupid, but i just didn't know exactly what it would do, if i did loose fuel and IF it kept running it would run dry of diesel and i would have to re prime it (that's what i thought anyways) as mine had trouble last time re-priming and it ...

this would be true except the fuel cut solinoid is in the fuel line from the tank and therefore the pump may spin but no fuel will get thru and the motor will stop spinning very quickly once the fuel supply stops.
best bet if you wanna isolate a td42 is to put the switch in line with the wire from ...

OK, so what i have done already (isolating the negatives) is ok?
if u isolate ur negative battery earth ur effectivly cutting all power to the car so in turn ur cutting power to the fuel solenoid so the motor can compress all it wants but it wont be getting fuel
Thank you for your input, but as ...

f u isolate the negative the engine will still turn off, yes the pump is earthed to the motor but the motor is still earthed to the battery, if u isolate it ur are breaking the circuit
Correct me if i'm wrong , but with diesels that can run under there own compression therefore still running the ...

So is it the fuel cut solinoid, is what cuts out when you turn the ignition off normally? or is it something different?

Can anyone tell me how to isolate a TD42 properly and safely?
As at the moment i am only isolating the negatives and as it is a diesel it probably will still keep running under it's own compression (please correct me if i'm wrong)
Thanks
