Yeh.. me mate bought a 3l surf and it would be getting 12mile gallon on highway. (between rockhampton and brisbane) with no load.

I have not heard much of this phenonmena in say 4wd monthly or before

apparently the motors blow huge amounts of black smoke under load.

Currently very dodgy. Adding some daihatsu feroza seats, and just trying to get it roadworthy before major mods... Yeah, the second 4wd. Baby bro to the fatroll!!!!!!!!!!

Just bought a nice set of Daihatsu Feroza seats from the wreckers ($250 the pair) to chuck into the Holden Drover project vehicle. Gotta be better than the crappy falcon vinyl jobs squeezed in there at the moment. Will let ya's know how it goes. I reckon it'll work.
