Seat mods

Post by HRZ00K »

Am Investigating putting some sort of aftermarkrt seats into the Sierra. Was thinking of using second hand seats from some Jap car.

Has anyone done this?

Does anyone know what type of seat works and what needs to be done?

Thanks

bahaha classic, remember the discussion about damo's seats, which turned into discussions about child hood memorys and about how the metal seat belt would burn ya bum when you hop on the back seat with your pants down.

I used MR2 seats. Nice and narrow, very comfy too.
As I had given my zuki seats away I had to fabricate a bracket for the passengers side. Drivers was pretty easy.

gti seats

Post by toysuzi »

the seats are in good nic

the main trim is dark gray & black

with the centre section being light gray with block/red strips

thay need a good clean due to cat hair
& mounting brackets need to be made up
thay can be bolted to std sierra runners but end up sitting to high

Seats

Post by Fatrolls »

Just bought a nice set of Daihatsu Feroza seats from the wreckers ($250 the pair) to chuck into the Holden Drover project vehicle. Gotta be better than the crappy falcon vinyl jobs squeezed in there at the moment. Will let ya's know how it goes. I reckon it'll work.

I had changed the seats I bought from the wreckers because they are for a pre 89 model (the passenger is rat trap style), and I don't want to drill new holes in the floor of the car.

So I picked up these taht come out of a Mirage 98.

I hope I could make them fit without any major drama.
