a day spa for a car ie. car sat in mud for a few days
After a nice new years rest in a delighful day spa down by a river under beautiful trees and pampering of finest kind by the likes of Jack, Spade, Bucket and nonoperationalwinch which culminated in the high point (almost deep enough to cover a 35inch tyre) of the gooiest mud bath one could imagine ...

Re: Compressors and rattle guns.
8cfm. Damn.
The problem with electric is how expensive they are. $300+ just for the wrench and a battery, maybe a charger. And it cant pump or reseat tyres.
How would a 4cfm compressor with a 40 litre tank go? Down time between waiting for it to recharge?

Compressors and rattle guns.
What power compressor and size tank would be needed to change four wheels (4 off then 4 on) without sitting around waiting for enough pressure.
and what torque rating for the gun would be needed?

Don't drive in mud?
I've notified the Nobel committee of your special brilliance.
Run higher pressures.
Mud in the bead is a part of wheeling in mud.
Maybe make sure the rim and bead are really clean next time you have to strip the tyres off and reseat it.
I was running 30psi, so im not sure ...

Getting mud in bead. Any solutions?
A couple of times ive got mud in between the bead and the rim which has then got under the bead resulting in a leak. Any ways to stop this from happening, some sort of deflector? Pressures have been high, nothing below 15psi.
Not wanting to get beadlocks yet.

Deseating bead on simex ET centipede
Never done this before, how is it done?
I don't have any special debeading tools. hi-lift jack or a tyre shop. I can't fit a normal jack under the vehicle while on the tyre.
I've tried jumping on it, that didnt work.

LED lightbars seem to be very expensive and considering you can buy most of the parts for not much at all has anyone decided to make their own?

Re: Can you fit a winch without a bullbar legally?
The ADR's concerned, regardless of age of vehicle will be to do with "Protrusions".
If it is outside the bumper area it would not comply, but if everything was tucked in behind it will be ok.
What type of vehicle is it going on?
Cheers
