Has anyone made their own LED lightbar?

Post by bananas »

LED lightbars seem to be very expensive and considering you can buy most of the parts for not much at all has anyone decided to make their own?
Anyone know how much custom heatsinks cost to make? :D

When you can get them from China cheap as fk why bother. There is a very detail thread on pirate I think, was put on here not long ago.

I read that thread ages ago. Even started looking for the extruded aluminum. Decided that at $180 for a 20" its not worth the effort. Only benefit would be, would be that I know what the globes actually are. As some of the cheap stuff have awfully crap quality globes.
