I have a 304 in m y FJ40, and its a fantastic little unit. Some things to consider. Mine has the cruiser 4 speed and split transfer in the stock location, due to the belhousing (and input shaft) length the fire wall has been chopped to fit the engine in and a bolt in fire wall installed, the ...

I have two pinions that look identical to that, both caused by axle wrap, installed tramp bar and haven't snapped on since (touch wood). this is in a 304 holden powered fj40 with soft springs

unfortunately spacers, solid or collapsible, wont fix that

Yes,

Not to sure with the 12ht but the 13bt uses a vacuum solinoid to shut off the air intake to kill the engine. Fix your vacuum leak andyour stoppong issues will most likely disappear.

Good luck

Wiring should not be such an issue

I have a 5.0 holden in my 40, and whilst it was in there when i got it there is only acutally a few on wires that need tapped in to in the holden loom to get it going. Just make sure that you get the holden loom and comp with it and it should be no worse than any other conversion. A word of advise ...

Wristed Radius Arms on 94 Prado

Has any one tried a wristed radius arm on a solid front axle prado/bundy to improve articulation.

Current articulation is poor due to bunding of the arms, has anyone tried a wristed arm and what were the results?

thanks in advance

Hilux 4Y to Supra conversion

Hava a 86 d/cab 4Y 2.2 hilux 5 speed and am sick of no power.

I've done some reading on the supra conversion and would like to confirm the best engine and bell housing combo.

Any help would be great.

GQ pops out of third

Howdy Ya'all

My fathers GQ pops out of 3rd going down hill (read engine breaking)
I seem to recall hearing somewhere that this is a common problem and that there is a quick fix.

I may be completely wrong but if any one has any ideas??

Cheers
