I also had a 'ticking' noise which sounded like it was coming from the hubs but turned out to be the universal joint on the front shaft when in 4wd....something else to check out.

Most good auto-paint supply shops will sell an etch primer made just for this purpose (chrome + plastics etc) but like prev. msg's mention, you gotta rough it up

I've been wondering about this also....-mine has no 'linkup' either but like muddy mine's not engineered.
My lift was an off-the-shelf kit which didn't come with any extra bolts or extensions ....so (?)

Could be either but i'm guessing valve seals because mine had the same prob. A compression test will let u know.
It's tricky but the seals can be replaced with the head still on the motor (using the old rope in cylinder trick to keep the valves up) and they're shit-cheap

After looking at a copy of 4x4 monthly there was a artical on a zuk with lots of custom tube work also a add in the same mag for M&M engineering said they used a JD3 bender bought from JDSquaerd any one else used this and how much got all the paper work from Speed works lok good also a post quite a ...
