I assumed that would be the case but I know that in some models of vehicle there can be a subtle difference etc so thought it prudent to check.
Cheers

GQ EFI vs Carb
Hi all,
Stupid question, are TB42 injected heads the same as TB42 carbie heads ? If so can I silmply swap a whole TB42 carbi engine in for an injected one and whack the injection set up on it? Has anyone done this conversion before?
Cheers.

Had my mates MQ SD33 Naturally Aspirated with extractors and exhaust with 5 speed fitted off the clock on 31's on the way back from getting the run around on buying another truck... they rev out to a bit over 41-4300 RPM - well the 30 something diesel patrols I have had did anyway.....

MQ vs GQ Ute trays
Ok - does anyone know if the mounting points are the same for the MQ Ute tray and the GQ Ute tray? As in will a GQ tray bolt directly to an MQ?
Any input would be appreciated.
Cheers!

There are actually 3 plates underneath even on the shorty, one under transfer brake, one further forward and a triangular one mounted on tube to help sump etc out. I made a chequrre plate one that folloed contoure of chassis rails for about $100 and used original mounting points for all but 2 bolts.

I have had sheet purspex cut to shape and used clark rubber rubber n a bit of sealant before - worked out just fine for me....
I got loads of rear slidin windows sfor shorties in perfect nich but it seems the LWB is harder to get these days - they did come out with solid rears and its an easy swap ...

Diffs
I love the fact that Nissan has kept the H260 rear in its utes from the G60 all the way into the GU.... nearly 40 years of essentially the same diff.
Oh - and I have personally seen the H260 as factory fitment to the Wagon in some instances, usually when running a P40 motor.

Ok - this may sound a little stupid but bear with me.
There was a guy advertising a set of pro comp 37 inch Xterrains on here a bit over a month ago in the tires and wheels section and I lost his number, I can't remember his name either but know he was in melbourne. I also know he competed offroad ...

If you pay $400 for a 5 litre v8 (believable for a flogged out 253 maybe, but not any 308 in good nick). Unless you win the lottery, it'll be completely rooted for that price, so factor in a rebuild. And a few more hundred each to get a decent carby, extractors, radiator and thermo fans, etc etc ...
