GQ EFI vs Carb

Post by Patroldude »

Hi all,

Stupid question, are TB42 injected heads the same as TB42 carbie heads ? If so can I silmply swap a whole TB42 carbi engine in for an injected one and whack the injection set up on it? Has anyone done this conversion before?

Cheers.

Yes its the same motor, you just need to swop all the efi stuff on to the carbi motor. Manifolds, sensors, computer, high pressure fuel line and pump etc

I assumed that would be the case but I know that in some models of vehicle there can be a subtle difference etc so thought it prudent to check.

Cheers
