Re: Suzuki Santana 5 Speed

Also if it helps I am running 31 inch tires atm. Not sure what they really measure to as they are getting pretty low on tread.

If you are running 31's your speedo will be out anyway, and with that size tyre you're pushing the poor thing

I have a 1lL ute that has 215's, purrs along at 100 no ...

Hey corrupt, did you weld any of that or just use rivets? I need to do a similar fix on mine & not sure which way to go yet. Do you have any pics of the underside where you attached the sheet metal to the inside of sill/body?

I found this stuff good for filling in holes in the bodywork, but wouldn't rely on it for any structural strength. And definitely NOT for roof racks!

Interesting grave dig... Nice Vit!

Since my hard top sierra is registered as a 'panel van', does this mean blacking out the rear windows is completely legal?

If i ever get it back on the road I think I'll do this to mine! Looks

I have a carry tank sitting in the garden doing nothing if you want it. PM if interested!

As for lifting the original tank, you can modify the mounts & move it up some more. Mine got to about an inch lift - but the mount hole that you can see in the pic is in the way of the rear tube now. Not sure ...

A Carry tank requires relocation of mounts, plus you have to re-route your exhaust since this tank is wider. I had considered the carry option, and a custom built option for my body lift, but have stuck to my original & have had the mounts redone. I think you can buy long range tanks that fit ...

My soft top does not have the corner rubber bits, or any rubber along the top of the door frames. The front of the roof slides into the plastic strip, same as foolsp33d's and I have one snap stud at each end.
When I bought the Zook, about 5 years ago, the roof was brand new. To this day I have ...

LOL, up goes your forum cred :D

Yeah I think I'll be able to come up with something for the corners since I use a lot of EVA & foam bits for work... Plus I'll be Stikaflexing the bejebus out of it when it all goes back together!

I noticed in your last pic there is no padding at all on the side roof bit?! Or did you just take it off for photo purposes? I've seen a soft top with foam tubing but assumed it was just to cover the roll bar that was inside it.

Thanks again, you've been a great help :)

Roof rubber bits for soft top Sierra

Just wondering if anyone can help me out regarding the bits of roof rubber/trim that goes around the inside a soft top sierra?

The 'soft top' we bought never actually had a canvas top on it as it came with a resin top (which we sold) and the bits of rubber that sealed the canopy on are pretty much ...

$70US to get them over here isn't too bad considering the x-rate is better these days... I could imagine the AU shop prices wanting a lot more than getting them shipped from US yourself. Still either way, maybe not worth the effort

how did you go with freight cost, and do you know if they will fit on the 1.6 carby motor

Calmini USA forwarded me their AUST distributor contacts:
