hey bud ive got the same conversion and i sealed up the 3 breather holes in the bottom of the dizzy and put in 1 fitting and ran it into the cab then used silicone on the cap works a treat, had it idling underwater on the w.e lol

hey im running the manual with 4" lift and 35s with no speedo sendor and im getting 25 - 26L per 100km

are you running the marks adapters speedo sensor? mine runs and electric speedo sensor and the sheela said they dont do one for them only the cable model.

hey guys just wondering what sort of fuel consumption you are getting out of a HOLDEN v8 efi. in gq. ive searched but it seems to get hijacked with 4.5L v8 fuel consumptions etc. and more people would have them by now mine is getting about 35L per 100km runing 4" lift, 35s and giving it a bit here ...

just windeirng if anyone that has converted a diesel to a petrol (ive just done holden v8 efi.)did anyone make a larger fuel return line,
the diesel is abut 6mm way smaller than what a commodore runs standard, thinking this might be creating a bit to much fuell pressure.

what i done was cut the bottom radiator neck at the weld, then cut a bit more of the neck peive to get the right angle and welded it back on
then used the gq diesel top hose.


hope this helps anyone doing the conversion.

i did not have a check engine light wired up, done this and all good, the coil is also shot so im going to put a new one in the hopefully it makes noise!!

yeh i no what your saying about the speedo unit but my car has an electronic speedo unit (no cable) thats what im converned about. cheers

yes i agree its a common conversion. any input would be great though.

sandy rut, if you use the marks adapter kit suposidly the power steering pump will hit the body if you have a body lift.

i might use the marks lift and surge and just an inline walbro.

thanks mate this is the sort of thing im interested in, im using patrol manual with commodore clutch.

as for exhaust i was going to use standard manifolds but i might try find some hsv headers.

how did you go with engine mounts?
