much smoother than the detroit, no clunking and banging ,

we also had big problems with the clutches failing in the detroits, resulting in them not unlocking when they ...

testing is done on the force 9's

assembling diffs next week,

you can just use 'other' instead of 'LT230' and manually enter high and low range,

we have found a few bugs but are working on them as we speak,

currently not working with firefox,

LT77 ratios all showing the same for different varients,

the 'other' diff option looks OK to me, when you click 'other', a box comes up for the ratio to me entered in,

we have had some software written for our web site which allows you to put in your gearbox, transfer case, diff and tyre data and it works out the engine revs at a given speed,

Ideal for working out what transfer case or ring and pinion to change to with different tyres etc.

I have not tested the maxi shafts in our test rig but I would agree they are very good, I doubt there is much in it regards to strength.

all our shafts are waisted and always have been,

if money is tight, put a detroit locker in the rear. Just as strong as a air locker and can be had for around $600 from the states. Then you can afford the axles at the same time.
I hear of these shattering when an axle breaks. I've never heard of an ARB doing that.

monmendoza, 4.75 may be too low with 33's, maybe 4.12 or 4.37 would be better,

it's not as easy as mentioned above,

yes you can fit the different output shaft to allow you to fit the FTC5090 coupling shaft to fit the LT230 but it's a full box strip to do this,

you will also have to fit the disco/classix V8 type rear housing which just bolts on,

I would not suggest running the LT230 on the road with the centre diff locked,

you are right there is no separate item for front and rear but there is a 'notes' field where this can be speced,

as long as you don't have the centre diff locked for along time when on a high traction surface, ie tarmac then I can't see this being a big problem for the centre diff to ...

you can on a TD5 but are you sure you can do this on the puma 2.4 TDCi ?

yes they would be, but it takes alot more work and materials to do the rover type compared to the sals, so i guess they are going to cut their teeth on the sals and try and spread out some of the initial costs and getting some return....... just remember these use to sell world wide.

we were very pleased, the ticking is the CV boot clip fouling, now fixed, the diff was silent and the oil feed to the pinion bearings worked well,

should be on a car for real testing very soon,

Is this a full bolt up conversion with the Rover axle that requires no fabrication etc?

Well at the very least you need to cut off the pan and weld a new one on...

we make 4 mods to the 9" ARB RD99,

1) to fit to our new housing we have to machine the ARB on the non crown wheel side to pull the journal bearing in closer to the centre,

the other 3 mods are to improve the poor dog clutch engagement,

2) there are 12 small but strong disengagement springs ...

yes, more than I thought for a short shaft but the important twist figure is the 115 deg of elasticity, stock was 60 deg,
