Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Clearance: is the clearance in the 4wd's just because of the front diff? I dont really want to body lift my 2wd. Hopefully I can get away with it, hope someone can confirm. I know there are a few 2wd's running around with 7mgte's and even a couple of 2jzgte's in them.

Hi there I am from New Zealand and have a 97 double cab hilux that has a 22r. Being in New Zealand my steering etc is on the right hand side and my ute is also only a 2wd model.

make the hilux run a cable clutch I guess? Prehaps get cable clutch stuff out of an older hilux if older utes came with a cable clutch?

Anyone else have any comments on the conversion into a 2wd hilux?
Is what I am thinking pretty much along the lines of the work to be done? I also plan on using a different diff in the future, to strengthen things up. Not sure what sort of diff to custom fit in though.
