Wolf Wheels
Hi Guys, Im thinking of putting Wold military wheels onto my disco1 but i was thinking about a couple of things. Firstly i know that they are a thicker wheel, but i am not sure if i need to have longer studs to allow sufficient thread for the wheel nuts. At the moment with my standard disco steels ...

Hi Andrew, Thats not the only thing ARB are weird on! Im in th middle of buying OME springs and shocks to my own configuration. For one they wont supply you with 2 x Driver Side (DS) or Passengar Side (PS) springs instead of 1 x DS & 1 x PS spring as a pair. This means that you automaically get a ...

+2" Suspension Choice
Hi guys, I want to put a 2" lift on my disco 1 to fit the 235/85 mudterrains i also want to fit. Now previously in the UK i have had OME springs and shocks and have loved them, but i know here they don't have the same following. So my options are OME springs and shocks or King springs and Bilstein ...

Hi Guys, Just a quick one. Anyone got any idea what size bolts hold on a non airbag ARB winch bumper to a disco 1. Looks like there are 6 bolts with the front 4 being the same size as each other but then the back two look like they need to be bigger. Its a simple question i know but when it gets ...

Which Steering Damper?
Hi Guys. Just wanted your opinions on what brand/model steering damper i should get? Its for a 97 discovery that will be running a steering damper re-location kit on it, so im after a defender damper. Ive run OME before on another LR and everything was good but i just wanted your opinions. Are the ...

Hi Ben. Nah i can't see any smoke really. To be honest she doesn't seem to smoke at all really. But then i cant see very well with it being behind me and having tinted windows etc. And no i dont have a boost gauge on it either. Any ideas? She does seem slow. Quite a bit slower than my 90 which had ...

Power Loss
Hi Guys. Got a little problem i can't get my head around. Ive got a 300tdi disco and when accelerating (noticeable in 1st & 2nd) gently but steadily the engine seems to hit a plateau at around 2100rpm. The truck simply accelerates nicely and then when it gets to around 2100 its as if it drops power ...

Hi Ben. The track rod you 've bought is a SUMO bar, now supplied through QT. They are very good bars, but not indestructible. They are about 29mm OD. I ran them on my winch comp 90 for 3 or so years and I did end up bending one. Later on i added a box section guard as well to stop it hapening again ...

Steering Damper Relocation
Hi Guys, Anyone know of a good steering damper relocation kit for a discovery series 1? I want to move the damper from its current position and put it up in front of the axle like on a defender. I know that i will have to buy a new damper but i just can't find any good kits. Anyone got any pics ...

Hey Ben, Yeha i'd be up for going out 4wd. For quit a while the car wont be to capable though as it will have standard suspension and road biased 205's on it. But i'd be up for doing a few tame tracks. Back in England i used to compete in winch challenges in a kitted 90, so i think quite alot will ...

Well ive gone and done it and bought the disco. First thing will be to fix the head and other niggling problems and then start with the modyfying. Thinking of a 2 inch OME lift and some bigger boots, but i dont want to cut the guards too much and i think the flares available are very expensive. If i ...

Thanks for that loanrangie. Im living in perth now so the car is an australian disco. It didn't overheat from what i know. I looked at the car and drove it and thought it was a bit underpowered. Hi guys, Im pretty new to the forum. Ive got experience with landrovers, but over in england, not in Oz. Im currently looking at a 97 300tdi Disco. Its very clean and bog standard.
