Agree the Common Rail ones seams to have ironed out most issues - but still hear people having issues with the idler tension pully, esp post creek crossings.

Its always made less power than the LS1, takes up twice as much room and weighed twice as much. They don't rev as well, upgrading cams is 4 times as expensive ...

thailand ones are better, check it doesnt have a DPF, these use more fuel but are only on the yd25 autos and not all of them.

its a wide engine, could be done. A body lift would help to clear the heads.
xr6 turbo engine would be easier.
boss engines have to rev, not like a normal v8, carring the weight of an 80 will get boring after a while.

pull the front diff out of the 106 also rear spring and front springs make a front pack out of the rear main leafs and bottom 3 from the front search RUF, hack the ifs off search SAS, fit the front diff and new modifed springs. scap the 106. fit longer scackles and 37s. done.

yeah i would chop the gaurds. keeps it low. my last rig i went all out with suspension and high steer to run 37s truck spent most of its time in the shed in bits no driving just a money pit. my next rig will ifs rears and ruf 2? shackles good shocks and chopped gaurds hoping for 2? lift and 37s ...

just found the broken pin that holds the cam gear to the end of the cam causing the gear to turn 45 degres to the righ and holding valves open. couldnt work it out as all the settings where right just not the cam.
