superior only use a re-badged calmini kit, same as snake do, cal offroad are the aus importers for the calmini kit as far as im aware and every one else buy off them

edit*** the kit they use for the spanish ones are calminis, not sure on the thai model kit they do

depending what you want to do with the truck. I have the toyota kit, although not cheap i think it is worth every cent.


Total chaos only do upper arms for d40's, they dont make a full long travel kit, no one does for that fact

Your best bet, is a calmini kit, only use ...

the factory turbo(non intercooled) td42 pumps only have one wire going to the pump for the fuel cutoff solenoid and fit onto a gq easily but you will need to fit the accelerator cable bracket from the gq and change the plug on the fuel solenoid which only requires undoing the 8mm nut on top of it ...

if its off a gu td42ti it also means it will have the nads (anti theft set up ) so unless you get the computer as well it wont run, prob easier getting a boost comp fitted to your own pump

yep i have, and im about to do it again in my wagon, not an easy job to get it to work,

You need to modify a flex plate as gu have bigger bolt pcd on the crank than gq so you cant use on of them standard

electrics get real hard, need an aftermarket gear box controller if you want to retain the ...

the only differences i know of with a gu auto you can lock the stall in any gear if you are using a manual lock up control where as a gq box can only lock in top as they have different valve bodys but if you run a wholesale automatics stage 2 valve body you can lock a gq one in any gear so there ...

If you want to use a glow control rather than using a factory set up which can bugger up buy one of these, im doing the same conversion as you and im using one of these too

i priced the front only about a month ago, was close to 500 ea side!!! nissan dealer told me they would fit, i wanted them for my 2000 ute to update it, the new coil cabs have them and apparently the part number for the front gaurds are the same for all yrs, not 100 % on the info, just passing on ...

cox ride on mower used to do a model called a super nova, it had an electric deck lift on it which used a little 12v ram that looks very very similar to the baja one on that link, last time i priced one it was some where between 250-300,

It would be more than strong enough for a light rack cause ...

that was originally built by giant racing off here, there has been one in an older issue of 4wd action that had a gq front diff fitted, it had the pumpkin flipped to put the centre on the left side, was built by a lukey's 4x4 or some thing like that from memory, was a silver one

Yeah, Whats does Mark's know? They only import/make all these kits.

You have to run a 12" clutch for the power. Im running an 11" and its not good enough for max power. And the ls1 flywheels DO buckle and their has been alot come back.

Just use whats recommended and proven cranky.

my biggest drama is the computer controlling it all, shift patten all wrong so have just ordered a fully programable TCU from the states which will let me fully customise shift patten, line pressure, torque convert lock up and to many other things to maintion

just finished fitting one of andy's turbo's, went with the smaller one cause i too didnt want to touch the pump other than just tweaking it, all as i can say is , DO IT DO IT DO IT you wont look back!!!!

its a gu coil cab, 3" mandrel, fitted a custom front mount at the same time, tweaked fuel screw ...
