I think there is some merit in this. Of the big boosted TD42 I have heard fail (not many) it has always been as a result of 1 or 6 getting hot. Saying that I have seen them all crack between the liners. So a bigger intake manifold would help balance out all the cyclinders - well I feel it would. My2...

Hey Tomo, I run this turbo with a big spec pump but have the .64 exhaust housing. It spools up around 1500 around 10psi?? and makes good boost 18psi?? around 1800rpm. I'm currently running 22psi. I have heard the Mitsu's come on alot earlier and will go to about 4000rpm. This makes them really punch...

Re: radiator
I did Outback Challenge with Lawrie Sternbeck - dual cab hilux V8 with rear mount radiator. Problem was the vacun behind the cab when we went fast. The best fans in the world cant blow air in a vacum. And so we only had temp problems the faster we went. Needs some form of diverting air from sides a...

The truck is a boosted, fueled up TD42. The reason I ask is that I would love to take the truck up north end of the year. The radia...

well atleast it would be easy to settle, if its faulty material/manufacturing or overloaded/abused, get a metalurgist to study the break!! even a abused spring should be able to hold upto it! look at stock leaf springs, they go for 20years of being abused by ppl overloading them day in day out. IMO aftermarket springs should be of the same qaulity yet they never are, hence why ill never buy a set Rory, that is a really good point mate...
