You can get more power without spending any money.
First though you need to install an EGT guage. Many of us have fitted these:

With the EGT installed, and a big hill, you can tune the pump ...

Hans-On-Exhausts - Albany Highway Kenwick.
Hans does good work. Made me a 3" mandrel exhaust and custom dump pipe for a good price.
He only accepts cash payment.

Well set up RA suspension will give good manners on and off road. Have a look at the Disco 2 which has RA + Panhard front and RA +Watts link rear.
HOWEVER - RAs really limit wheel travel offroad a LOT. This is because of binding at the axle end when the axle tries to rotate relative to the RAs ...

There are a few around. (including a couple of threads on here)

If you really want to run a welded diff, then I have a much easier option for you. Simply remove one axle/halfshaft when on the road and replace it with a plank drive flange (basically an axle with the axle chopped off).

Dynacam was another aviation engine along similar lines but using a "wobbleplate" and longitudinal cylinders. Treestump pulling torque at 2000 rpm, 2600 max rpm, idle at 200 rpm, only a couple of dozen moving parts in total.

I've been using it for 13 years now.
It works, gets the job done and has good functionality. 2D DXF's are pretty basic, even free cad packages can do that. 3D DXF can't be done by solidworks directly though, I use a third party program for situations where a 3D DXF is necessary.

Sounds like you would make the most money if you wreck it.
The whole car repaired is maybe worth ~2k depending on condition. You should be able to sell the locked axles for ~1k disc-disc, so anything on top of that is a bonus. Engine, box and t-case won't be worth a huge amount, but not worthless ...

Re: Securing Synthetic Rope to Drum.
That's what I would have thought as the wraps around the drum do most of the securing.
Same goes for wire rope. The crimp on eyelet or grub screw is only to stop the cable/rope falling off if you accidentally wind it out too far.
I once had to respool a wire rope onto a winch that was about ...

Very easy to test:

Or rather it is a function of design and material strength. You can make a cage just as strong using 250MPa tube as 350MPa tube if you take the material strength into account in your design.
