Yeah afaik its to help prevent axle wrap on the sprung over diff setup in hilux's. I know a few other manufacturers use this setup also but cant remember who right now. It's adequate in a fairly stock setup but of course with softer springs more power etc its not enough so a trac bar would be ...

Yeah i wasnt sure if it would have standard garrett flanges or specific patrol/nissan ones. I think you would have to try it out to see exactly what boost it would make. Having it open would give the best flow through the turbine which would hopefully make it less restrictive at higher revs. You may ...

The problem with using this turbo on other motors is that it does not have a wastegate at all but its actually a variable vane/nozzle turbo. The actuator looks just like a normal internal wastegate actuator but it controls the size of the outlet of the turbine - smallest outlet at low revs/idle ...

Im setting up a turbo and top mount i/c on my 3.0l B BJ40 atm. Im going top mount for now as i got the i/c cheap but really just untill i can save for a water to air setup. i/c will have large bonnet scoop and a thermo, not that it will cool it much, but just to help stop heat soak at very slow ...

Im running an Autometer pyro (Cobalt Series) on my BJ40 which is a good quality guage but maybe not the best value on the market. I got mine unused in box of a mate for 150+ a couple of beers but normally the gauge and probe will set you back 300 or more. Most speed shops will have them or order ...

Im also in the process of turbocharging my B diesel in my 40 atm. A turbo that has approx. .48 a/r compressor and .42 a/r turbine ratios off a 1.8-2.3 petrol motor is generally what people use for B/2B/3B motors. Possibly Garrett T25, T28 or T3 ( apparently T3's off certain volvos have those exact ...

i wish i had coils. they would obviously give a better ride/flex but dont really have the ca$h to go with a coil setup. diffs are bare so much easier to go leaves and by playing with pack config etc. can still flex very well. daz's truck flex's pretty good and that 80 has some awesome flex. does ...

I opened the bonnet, and saw a burnt out wire near the battery, so i fixed that, could not see any other problem so started it back up, checked the wire to see if it was hot, it was ...
