Exhaust gas temperature gauge(pyrometer)
just wondering what brand gauges people are running and where you can purchase these from and how much they are ?
Im running an Autometer pyro (Cobalt Series) on my BJ40 which is a good quality guage but maybe not the best value on the market.
I got mine unused in box of a mate for 150+ a couple of beers but normally the gauge and probe will set you back 300 or more. Most speed shops will have them or order them in for you.
VDO and the like are generally about 50-75 cheaper but not as BLING.
Check out http://www.thermoguard.com.au/ for a nice digital gauge and theres stuff on ebay too.
Just do a search for 'pyro' and you will find heaps of info.
cheers.

Recommended as the best or second best at every store i went to; that sold me

i just read the little write up about the jaycar sensor and i like the way you can have it activate a relay at a certain temperature for a thermo fan or water mister or a warning buzzer. now being a lazy man i like anything that can do the thinking and react for me and the price is right too!
Honey i cut the car in half!
