Re: Lets see your comp patrols
I am actually interested to know what sort of driveline bits , these big HP rigs are running. All Gu with ARB lockers and cryo'd axles and CV's and the usual housing mods. I am running a 12" chev pressure plate and a custom unsprung brass button ZGrip clutch plate from Textralia but if I wind up ...

I'm not defending the above post BUT did you not call Steve's "Crappy" before Mitch even said anything? You could have started a thread about fuel systems? You could have Pm's Steve. You haven't posted any pics like asked in the title. From earlier in the thread - Hi Steven Why would you want to ...

Funny thin about your comment Steve I was going to write the exactly same thing. Either put up pics with some specs or shut up!!!!! I could join this little penile extension battle by saying things like so what I run an rb30 turbo and it is better than ford or holden but I don't give a crap. I want ...

Guys how about starting a thread elsewhere so you don't continue to hijack Mitch's thread. He's trying to get some ideas on which way he wants to go with his comp truck build, not watching you guys in a p!ss!ng contest. Keep it on track so he can get some good info for his question. 440BB Are you reading the posts properly? I said my engine is blown, however it would easily do 700fwhp N/A. It has a lot more power than 700fwhp blown; my unopened 5.7 ls1 with a mild cam had 650fwhp blown. Check out this link it is a LS 416ci and it does 714fwhp N/A and it is a lot smaller than ...

Re: Lets see your comp patrols
Check my signature mate my engine is blown, so different cam specs to N/A and compression.
Do some research on the forums I mentioned and you will see the proven potential of dozens of different LS/LSX combinations.
To compare a big block to an LSX is like comparing apples to oranges.

Hi Steven Why would you want to run a crappy Ford when you can run an LSX more reliably and with more HP and torque to boot. Probably cheaper as well. I like to be a little different and my early background was building fords so I'm familiar with ford V8s and they are much cheaper to buy and build ...

Doesn't matter how much power you have once you have done a v8 conversion, you will be looking for more before to long. Hmmmm I better start cracking on my new 408ci ls1 stroker and bigger blower. 500rwkw would be nice.

GQ to Gu diff & brakes swap?????
Hello guys I have just put a 1999 GU 2.8 wagon front axle assembly and brakes into my 92 GQ Ute. The brakes now have a very hard pedal feel and braking is now worse than the GQ brakes. My question is, do I have to change the master cylinder or brake booster to match the GU front brake calipers?? or ...
