As has been said the key to a successful panhard rod would be keeping it as horizontal as possible (to reduce the side to side movement).
And keep it as close to parallel to the steering drag link as possible otherwise when you hit a bump the change in horizontal length of the panhard rod ...

I don't think a panhard rod will work with leaf springs as the panhard rod presumes that the diff can have (limited) movement from side to side on suspension travel from my understanding.

Update!
Today I bought a complete motor from a 99 Baleno for $800 with the ecu, wiring loom, starter motor, PS pump, both manifolds. A steal I would say.
Now I have to start with the work of getting together the stuff together to actually put the motor in and the fab work.

G16 conversion... and yes I have searched and read the bible
What is the difference between the G16A and G16B motors? Which is EFI? (no point in putting another carby motor in).
What sort of costs am I looking at all up, doing the conversion myself, including the motor and necessary parts?
Looking through the threads it looks as if BenT's adapter set is the ...

All back together now and back on the road :)
Had to replace the rocker cover cork gasket as I think I originally put it on with the gasket in the wrong place, it leaked so then I tightened the bolts (stupid idea I know) and that made it even worse and pretty much destroyed the gasket. The gasket ...

yeh it is the original motor, car was built in 95.
I will (hopefully) be fixing it tomorrow after I buy a new timing belt. Asking a friend about the timing mark and will be doing it off valve position. The vavles on piston 4 should be rocking between closing exhaust and opening inlet when all the ...

i have been running it on E10 for over a year, I am very doubtful that it is a fuel issue. As i said the whole carby has been replaced with a spare one I have. I will consider fuel issues again after I have ruled out the ignition system.
It seems to run better on E10 in general, but like you say I ...

sierra motor won't rev
Having issues with my sierra atm.
I was driving along, when i suddenly lost a lot of power and a noise started coming from the motor.
When standing still and revving in neutral it seems mostly okay. It has momentary hesitation when you lift your foot off and put if down.

rockhopper t/case gears
I pulled my t/case with a rockhopper gear set out a few months ago (due to noises coming from the t/case) and replaced it with a spare t/case I had.
I finally got around to pulling the rockhopper t/case apart today. I pulled it apart and the intermediate gear has lost several teeth.
I bought the ...

yeah i was thinking planteary was a better idea than a normal gearbox because you would have no power loss or noise because the high range is just the output and input shaft locked together
also u could make it resonable narrow so u could most likely maintain the propshaft which makes things less ...

plantary reduction gears
okay was just wondering if anyon has ever thought of mounting a plantary gear set between the t/case and gearbox on a sierra cause it would either be 1:1 or something like 3:1.....
this in conjuction with the t/case would give a nice set of 3 ranges
and a massive reduction in low/low range

yeah just trying to work out how to mount the front spring on hte side closest to the diff centre up front as the housing is still on a fair angle under the chassis rail where u would normally mount your spring...
and i want coils cause they should give a more comfy ride, they don't tend to break ...
